Very nice! I considered the 850 but after finding out there was no factory cab and the doors alone were $3000 I went with diesel. Mine is purely work (and for plowing) so it should be fine.
Factory cab will probably be on next years model....
I didn't even price the doors to be honest. When I found out what the electric bed lift cost, I kind of got cold feet on add on's I didn't buy it, my wife did and it's her's not mine but I still have to maintain it (not drive it, just take care of it). Came last week. So far my wife has driven it up town (I got to put my lawnmower gas can in the back because it needed gas (buggy and lawnmower) so she pulled right up to the gas pumps and I filled the buggy and my gas can and paid for both. Scoots right along. Got the fold down windshield, rearview mirror and the sport hardtop, turn signals and 4 way flashers to make it street legal here in Michigan. She got the steel wheels with the regular 'worksite' tires, not the bar tread ones like quads have. Told her the steel wheels were easier to take care of. They get some rust on them, little sandpaper and a rattle can and new again.
Windshield is a must. Being old farts like we are, tooling down the road and eating bugs don't seem like a fun thing.
Got a winch for it, a 5000 pound Harbor Freight one. Had a 25% off coupon, winch cost me 135 bucks. Have to put it on yet. Kubby wanted 600 for a winch.
Strangely, unlike Kubota tractors and their standard 50 hour service, the Sidekick requires a 20 hour oil and filter change. Nit sure what that is all about but I'll comply. Filter is very acccesable and so is the drain plug. Could be because it's a Subaru engine, not sure. Transmission takes UDT or SUDT and so does the front diff. Coolant (it's water cooled) is not standard Kubota fare either. Instead of the usual ethylene glycol Kubota standby, they call out extended life Global.
So far it's been up to about 30 mph. Being old, we aren't speed demons.
