Took Mule and utility trailer to the pasture yesterday to retrieve a dead hickory tree which was then bucked, split and stacked in the woodshed for smoker use. It is the little V-shaped tree to the left of the rear of the trailer in the first picture.

Definitely great benefits you listed. Kind of in disbelief how much vbar tire chains, welding pipe on cutting edge, and a home-made a weight box off the back receiver actually helps my plowing up north anyway. No pods or 6x6 though, lol.

Have you used those chains when plowing on pavement at all? I ended up going with square-link chains on my Honda Pioneer 520 out of concern about scraping up the pavement on the small portion of our driveway that is paved. The square link is easier on pavement than studded or V-bar chains. At this point, I have them on just the rear wheels.

I've wondered if I could have gotten away with Studded or v-bar chains. I have not had issues with tires spinning yet, but did not have much in the way of heavy snows last year (which was my first full winter with this set-up).

I do have a tractor with studded "euro-style" chains that I use to clear the really heavy snows (using either the loader or the rear-mount snow blower). No spinning there, but it weighs more than 4X as much as the Pioneer 520.

Nice looking ATV chain, from what I have seen most chains don't do much damage untill they are spun, then they all do.

I plow gravel drive and a lawn not any relevant experience with v bars on pavement I do however park it in my pole barn it has an unsealed steel trowel finish. Not much noticeable chipping in it. My snowmobile carbides do more marking up of the slab than vbars in my experience. I'm pretty easy going and tolerant of wear and tear on a concrete slab though as long as it doesn't crack, heave, buckle etc.

How about snowmobiles at work? Panked down some trails in between overgrown Xmas trees rows so adventurous customers can somewhat walk around looking for that perfect tree or 8-9' top of a tree on my sprawling 15 acres. Did I mention it's a 40+ yr old bravo 250 love that thing. My youngest started driving it alone tonight where I plowed. Of course I plowed the main entrance with the kids grizzly 350, tonight, unfortunately dropped my phone in the snow ran it over with a snowmobile, camera quite working after incident lol. Phones 6 yrs old think I got my moneys worth.

Lol dropped my old phone for the millionth time and camera started working again. Aftermath of plowing lighter lake effect snow down here with a older grizz 350, just a pipe welded to older county style atv plow no vbar chains or weight box on this one. I really appreciate windshields on atvs when using them to remove snow, work or just joy riding in colder weather.

No excuse but I usually prepare better for winter and a slight snow drift rant, hooked up my junk mossimo atv snow blower that I admittedly paid to much for, attempted to drive it out of storage got stuck in sand with one of my my Kodiak 700 4 wheelers, hooked a tow strap to rear hitch and here's what happened. A previous tragic thread I read long ago somewhere on here made me highly reluctant to pull atv this way but was in a hurry somewhat aware what might happen if hitch failed. Looks like Yamaha designed the receiver to fail before bending atv frame. Got the snowblower engine running, however the solenoid to engage auger and impeller is shot and the chute no longer rotates, Chinese junk. Looks like this year I'm pushing snow banks back with my old Kubota l2850 and plowing with the old 350 grizz which has a factory push button front locker. Flat land, down state fortunately, up north not so much, tire chains and extra weight are a must imo up there anyway.
