Working with my new CL Fabrication tree-puller with grapple guard. Works like a regular puller :

But guard is actually a grapple.

Yep, very nice.

I see from your picture that it has their wiring harness to switch between puller and grapple, connected to the Bobcat 7-pin attachment control. Did they provide the adapter for that?

They have a wire, but the bob-cat adapter cost an extra $200. It works like a peach. In the cab, there are three buttons that control wiring harness controlled devices. I just push the left hand switch down, and the aux. hydraulics open and close the lower jaws. Push it up and they control the grapple.

I was planning on getting a grapple eventually (rented one the first week), just needed the puller first. When I saw the grapple attachment for this one, I decided to try this. It works very well. I will probably hold off on the grapple for now. So far, this does every thing I need, and I don't have to switch between implements after pulling stuff.

I also got their land leveler. Very nice product with a hydraulic actuated scarifier, with adjustable depth shanks. Haven't used it yet (just got them yesterday) but will post pictures when I do.

That's a great attachment! I've been slacking on taking pictures lately. I'll try to get some this week. I have a single tree to pull on my list for the week. Not worth renting a special attachment for it so I will probably just use the forks and a chain.

Thought I'd post pictures of the CL Fabrication Land leveler I was using today.

Has hydraulically controlled rippers/scarifier you can move up and down from the cab. (didn't use today)

There is a definite learning curve. V519 doesn't have boom float, so you have to feather it as you go. Pulling definitely easier than pushing...
Before (sorry, couldn't rotate pics)

after: - shadows make grooves look deeper than they are (only about 1/2 in) Second picks gives better example from different area.

I thought it had boom float when I ordered it, but in the owners manual the button is labled "not used". Need to talk to the dealer, when he went over the machine he mentioned how to engage it, so not clear. I did it without but would definitely be easier with float. Can't for the life of me imagine why they wouldn't have it given it was there on the other 2 models.
