Valve lash

I have a ford 1910, 1986 model with a 1.7L Shibaru 3 cyl engine. It has about 1800 hours on it and if I was to venture a guess I would say it has never had the valves set on it. It dosent sound that noisy but is kinda hard to start. Does anyone know the clearances and procedure for setting the vlave clearances?
