True southerners abound here don't they? I don't see the "so called southern hospitality on here either"..

Maybe you have to meet in person to get it, people are people and I find most people no matter where I go are very nice for the most part "in person"..

Are you saying some people revert to a 'keyboard warrior' personality when they are on TBN?

The keyword is "hospitality"...it does not mean character or manners etc. on social media or Internet forums etc...it's about how guests (friends or strangers) are treated in a personal setting (i.e, your home or business etc...)

Not to be a braggart but just as an example...a few years ago (locally here in N.E. GA) we had some serious forest fires...forestry firefighters were brought in from all over the country (many from the far west)...
After the threat of the fires was over the local newspapers received countless letters from both the firefighters and their families thanking the local communities for the hospitality they were shown...almost all of them stating that having been all over the country fighting different fires...they had never been treated so kindly as they were when they were here...

Kinda crazy to think, going somewhere to help others and being treated in a kind manner is not always the case...

I know exactly what you mean...This was a case of true gratitude...the firefighters could not pay for a meal anywhere in town...most were housed in private homes and camps...everyone had signs in their yards thanking them for being here for us...

Being on 2 hour evac. notice knowing you might lose everything you can't take with you really sucks...it gives one empathy for those that go through the same thing (wild fires)...

My cousin is a lineman in RI, he often goes out of town after a blizzard etc to restore power.

He told me he went to NY a few years back and some of the people threw rocks at the bucket trucks because the power wasn't on quick enough for them so they decided to make them wait a little longer.. He told me it wasn't the first time it happened on an out of town job.. Unbelievable..

Personally I think it more an urban vs. rural thing about attitudes and friendliness rather than having to do with different corners of the country. It seems to be that in more populous areas people tend to mind their own business and don't extend a hand or smile as much as in less populated areas. I could go on but this has nothing to do with vaping.

Utilities are becoming viewed more as an inalienable right lately.......

I saw a lady (term used loosely) on tv griping about how it is her RIGHT to have water service.

Meh, if you didn't drill a well, install and maintain a pump, you should have to pay someone else that did. Right? Or should I instead ask - Correct? Everyone has to pay their way. (Even if all their money was won in a lawsuit because evil vape companies hooked them against their will on the unavoidable nicotine)
