B3200, L5740,
Anybody do a vertical exhaust on their B? I did to my B3200. I got tired of soot on everything. I got a short bend 90 and went straight up from the outlet of the muffler. It did involve cutting a hole in the hood but I must say once i got over that I am very pleased. It involves pulling the stack off to open the hood but that is a 2 second job because it is a slip fit. I will post pics in the next day or 2 if anyone is interested.

Yes, post more info or pics. I converted a compact Ford years ago and added a slip joint on the pipe so I could open the hood. My original purpose was to add an air filter pre-cleaner and it worked great.

Pics are on the way. I have been looking at my 5740, same as your 5240 and have not come up with a satisfactory conversion. Let us all know if you do.

I made one for my B3030, it follows the cab frame. Works great.

Hey kuboman did you do anything to insulate the radiator hose? From the pics it looks like its touching the exhaust pipe.

Very impressive installations. Both fine jobs.
