No kidding.... I had 2 fifty foot leads at my grandparent's garage where I worked on cars that seem to have disappeared when my dad rented that house out for a while about 25 years ago.... grrrrrr. You price 100' of #4 lately?

For that price, I wouldnt. You should be able to get your investment back out of the cables even if the welder dies.

I've read that Arc Products no longer supports PowCon... should that be a concern ?

Nope, there are people who work on them and advise how to fix them too.
Plus, if it died in a year you already got your money out of it and leads too.

I THINK PowCon may be the predecessor to Miller's XMT series of welders. (Not that that necessarily means anything). I really like my XMT though ....

We always used to call them KaPOW Cons. They were notorious for shucking boards. If the unit is still working it may be ok but would be too costly to repair.
