More for show, doubt would be handy hauling wood or rocks etc.![]()
Mixed feelings on this. I agree that for most of us here they're way too light-duty, but the little "toy" trucks of the 80s-90s did serve a purpose, particularly for suburbanites who didn't really need a "real" truck, but those small trucks did the job for the times they needed to transport a lawn mower to the shop, carry plants home from the garden center, etc....fairly light stuff but too bulky or messy to want to haul in a sedan.
Didn't the old 80s-era VW pickups have some major handling problems being front wheel drive? ISTR that Chrysler made one based on the Plymouth Horizon around the same time.
Then there was the Suburu Brat, as useless a vehicle as there was. What did they have, a 3' bed, maybe even shorter?
