95% of people who buy the scout will never off road with it.
Just a status vehicle.
95% of those who buy any 4WD vehicle probably never off road with it.
Agree though that, like the tesla "truck" it'll be more for show than work.

No,,,, I think we will get what we deserve. In the Lincoln Tunnel example, the traffic will be blocked for all of us.
It’s not “tedious”. Blocked traffic in a tunnel is a life and death scenarios that must be dealt with.
It's going to be blocked whether you are out of electricity or out of gas. An EV can be charged, just as you can walk back to the gas station to buy a can and fill it with gas. And don't give me some BS about always carrying a can. If you have the foresight to do that then you are smart enough to keep your tank topped off.

Making up wild scenarios only shows that you know your arguments are weak.

Its just NOT a “wild scenario”. :ROFLMAO:
FYI, if EV’s are going to be the standard vehicle of the future, it’s going to be an everyday scenario.

Show me the EV charger that magically appears in a traffic jam surrounded by other stuck cars behind the dead EV car???? :ROFLMAO:

Pretty easy to transport a 2G gas can by simply walking it to the car, filling and driving away.

And just an FYI, there’s plenty of pickup/service trucks carrying gas cans. Mine is one of them.

I bet more people off road gas/diesel off road vehicles than EV of road vehicles.

Tow trucks on highway in Cincinnati carry gas , so it easy to add fuel if that is problem.
on side note I was stuck in traffic for several hours with low fuel. I had about half gallon when I was able to get to station

Even though I was a Bronco fan/owner in the 70's, I liked the look and off road capabilities of the Scout. But as stated, they were rust buckets, at least in New England. When the rears went, you couldn't open the hatch window, unless you had two friends each push a quarter panel back in. We did that too.
Or when wheeling, bounced so hard, the quarters spread, and window opened anyway... fun times...

How many times per year is the Lincoln Tunnel or other highways blocked by people who run out of gas? It doesn't matter what you are driving, if you can't plan that far ahead then you are the problem, not what you are driving.
The first electric F150s included an adapter so that they could charge a Tesla if needed... a rather interesting gimmick.

Never had a Scout, but my first truck was the pickup counterpart. Rugged truck, but like you said it was a rustbucket, even worse than a Japanese truck. Geared so low you could start on a hill in 3rd gear with a full load in the bed. And that was in 2 wheel hi range.
My tractor rides better too.
