W.R. Long vs DIY 3rd function?

I'm wanting to add a 3rd function on my FEL for a grapple. I've got a L3710 with no remotes anywhere

I have the same L3710. I bought it and added a Kubota FEL. What I miss are remotes on the tractor and have been toying with adding a grapple, so I'm wanting the 3rd function.

If it's worth some thought, I have toyed with the idea of adding a 3 spool valve in the narrow slot to the right of the seat. The handles would have to be oriented upwards; modified if necessary. I would make it 3 so I could use 2 for rear remotes and 1 for the grapple. One of the rear remotes might be for a hydraulic top link.
