I assume the loader is a quick attach (not the bucket) ? If so just remove it from the tractor and weld the hooks on if you're concerned.

Sean

Oh ya, it is.

Thanks for bringing that up

So today I had the hooks put on.

Two 3/8" grab hooks and 1 larger tow hook

Here are a couple of photos

The top lip / end of the NH bucket is formed like a "c" channel and fairly beefy.

I opted to weld the hooks where I did as I do not see me ever lifting anything heavy enough to bend the channel that is on the bucket.

The rating for the loader is only 840 - ish pounds as it is.

Good job youll find very useful.I also added some to the edges, allowing me to secure stuff in the bucket.. Never have enough hooks on a bucket..

Extra hooks are handy plus I drill a few holes to stick nylon strap hooks. Great for when you want to carry a fridge from the front porch to the rear walkout....

You bet!!!
Me, got one in the center for lighter weights and light pulls, one on each end for the heavier stuff.

I added three, one on the bucket heel on the center line, and two more on the top lip at each edge. I'll use the bottom one for heavy stuff, the top two for lighter balanced loads, and a chain with a centered grab hook across the top two for easier access (bucket rolled down).

It's not hard to permanently torque (bend) the loader arms lifting from a single side hook if you're not careful, we've beat that to death here a few times.

I welded hooks on my bucket but my warranty is expired anyway. But I also have a QA bucket so I got a QA plate and welded some grab hooks and also some D rings to it. I guess if someone is concerned about warranty it's something to consider. My reasoning was without the bucket I could lift a couple hundred more pounds and the bulk of the weight would be between the loader arms. Now I need to make a grille guard so something doesn't swing into it.

That is a great idea. I never thought about getting a QA blank/plate and add hooks and/or rings to it.

Another thing...if you have the pallet fork QA and the forks can be dismounted (removed), add the hooks to that.
One nice thing about having hooks on a bucket is it keeps the load away from your grill/grill guard. An old tire (no wheel) tied to the grill guard can provide some protection too.

All this talk about adding hooks to the FEL has me itching to do the same... Does anyone have any website recommendations for where to buy these hooks. I have looked at the local Tractor Supply and Hardware store, but have not found any...
