Chipper WC-6 PTO Chipper arrived

If there is no forward/reverse lever like on a commercial machine, what do you do if a big limb jams the feed chute? You said you have a lever that STOPS the feed roller. What next?? What is the brand and where did you get it? Since you seem happy with it, please share this info on the site. If not, please send me a private message. Do you know how much the flywheel weighs? From what I have read, that is one of the most important specs on a chipper. The DR machines have lightweight flywheels and the commercial machines have humongous flywheels.

If anyone else would chime in with comments on other chippers in the $1200-$1900 range, it would be appreciated.

The woodchipper is the same as a Jinma with a few different items, all the Jinma parts fit this woodchipper also, the WC woodchipper has a foot release for the feed, the Jinmas do not.I kind of like the foot release but it does not look like it would hold up well, and if you forget to pick it up you will drag it off.
I have sold hundreds of these Jinma woodchippers and they are a great value for the money,if you buy the Jinma or the WC your sure to get your moneys worth. They are at lease half the cost of other units this size,We also keep a full supply of replacement parts, blades in stock at our Bellville warehouse. The flywheel weight 175 lbs

That has been my take on the WC-6 ..... looks to be the same as the Jinma JM 6 except for the cable controls. The Jinma has a lever on top for the feed release. It should make you a good machine. All my customers have been happy with there purchase of the Jinma Chipper.

A chipper is tops on my list of needed attachments also.

I like the Wallenstein, but the dealer is a long ways off. So I may end up with the BearCat.

To avoid jamming the feed roller I make sure that I feed things that won't jam the roller. If it jams anyway, I release the drive mechanism, which does allow the feed roller to turn backwards while you drag whatever out of the machine. There is no power reversing.

The flywheel weighs about 175 pounds, and with my 38 PTO horsepower it doesn't slow much when fed dry pine logs 5-6 inches diameter. I think the flywheel speed is about 1100 rpm when the PTO is 540 rpm.

WC-6 is a Chinese made chipper, I bought it on eBay from Betst Company
