If I understand you well, you propose to use an adapter between the support for the weights and the frame of the tractor?

Thus in the event of problem, they is the bolts between the adapter and the weights which break. And doesn't that damage the frame of the tractor? Do you have an idea for the adapter? Which size bolts to use for the connection between the weights and the adapter?

(I work in a pressure vessel factory and I have many machines and tools at disposal. I am in charge of quality and security and I am in formation to become european welding technologist. If you are interesting, visit the website of my factory to see what Belgian are able! www.peruweld.be).

Thank you for your help!

Hello Sylvain,

I think yes you understand well the idea they suggest.

There is also the idea of loading the tires with water mixed with anti-freeze or calcium chloride. An inner-tube should be used for this.

If you are concerned about the weight limit on those bolts you can use both steel weight and "loaded tires".

Now I see most front weight go straight out from the support bracket and hang down. But if you make your own weights you can maybe go down and forward with the weights. Maybe there is something that could be fabricated to support part of the weight from under the tractor. Not sure if I made that clear at all.

Let us know hoe you come out, sounds like an interesting project.
