Weight of 48 Backhoe

What is the weight of a 48 Backhoe (backhoe for a 4500 tractor)? THe operators manual lists 670 lbs. I would have thought that this backhoe would be much heavier.

According to Post#5 on thread "John Deere Backhoe Model Confusion" on this site, the poster mentions JD got the lbs/kg weights switched...should be 1477lbs (671kg) for the Model 48 w/ Medium Frame Adapter and 1517lbs (690kg) for the Large Frame Adapter. Not sure if those weights include a bucket or not though...unless stated otherwise, I assume not.

You are correct - JD reversed the numbers for Kg. & lbs. W/ or w/o bucket, the 1517 lbs. makes allot more sense. BTW, I could not locate the link that you you referenced.
