Eddie,

If you crank it, are you getting any black smoke? If not, no fuel. If memory serves me, you have a fuel shutoff solenoid on the back side of the Injection pump. Now, some of them pull when the key is turned on, some push. I would make sure it has power, if not repair that, then check. If it does, then I would make sure the lever that the solenoid pushes (or pulls)moves freely. If all else falis, pull the solenoid, move the lever both ways and see if you get smoke-good luck!

No smoke!! I get white smoke when it fires from the starting fluid, but nothing else.

There is a solonoid, I'll take a look at that.

Thanks,
Eddie

Go Eddie Go!

I have nothing of value to add to this thread but as a spectator I think we need minute-by-minute updates!

Maybe if we all hold up a shot glass of diesel she'll fire /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I knew you were close. You've got to have some air in those injector lines. It takes lots of little squirts to clear the air out.

I'll hold up a glass of something if it helps. Heck, I am now holding up my can of caffeine free diet pepsi in a display of support for Eddie. Go go go.

A good way to bleed those injectors lines is to crack the fitting right at the injector while you are cranking it over, when fluid comes out, you are close. Do this for all 6 injectors and pretty soon it will start. It will run a little rough until all the air is out of the system. You also might want to check the incoming fuel line to the pump and bleed it as well, the more air in the system, the longer it will take.

Go Eddie, GO
