You will surely enjoy your well. A well is the biggest thing you can do to completely change the way you look at a place. Water is a huge event when developing your home in the country. Once you have water, things start to take shape very quickly.

There is a new house being built about 1/4 mile down the road from me. Two weeks ago, a well driller showed up to put in the well. He only brought 360' of drill pipe. My well is 386' deep and we are about 50' below where he is drilling. Several of us went to talk to the driller and let him know where our water was located. My wife's place has a well at 420' and most of the rest of us are around 380'.

When the driller used up all his pipe and hadn't hit good water, he had to go to a competitor and borrow a couple more sections of drill pipe. At 380', he found good water, but about the time he found it, he got a stuck pipe. It seems his drill pipe stuck deep in the hole. He ended up twisting off the drill pipe. So this guy had taken 5 days to make a mess and got fired by the contractoir.

On Friday of last week, another driller showed up and had the well drilled in less than a day. So now, they have two wells about 25' apart. One has a stuck pipe and I think nasty water is probably going to seep out the walls of the unfinished well and get into the water table where the new well is located. I hope not, but most wells in this area have very hard water around 260' and good water down near 400'. A good seal around the casing is needed to keep hard water from getting down in the good water's pool. That's what my driller told me, and my water has been terrific, so I have no reason to doubt him.

Good luck with your well.
