Having dealt extensively with Husqvarna-Electrolux I can say that they have a problem with their corporate culture and don't value their customers.

My suspicion is that dealers are put in a difficult position because H-E doesn't support them either.

And the NEDEA Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey of 2014 supports your suspicion. Husqvarna rated out 4.66 while Stihl rated 6.34. I wonder, though, how apples-to-apples this is when considering that Husqvarna has it's name on a lot more stuff (and a lot of low-end stuff at that)? The 2017 report is out, but unless you're a member you can't access it: I got my hands on the 2014 report from someone making it available to non-members.

BlackOps, what model of mower are you having troubles with?

What makes it a piece of crap? Obviously you thought the product was worth the investment since you bought the mower in the first place.

Why is everything Husqvarna makes junk?

How many Husqvarna products have you owned? How many has people you known owned? We need specifics not just blanket statements that a brand is junk.

I have a Husqvarna mower with 250 hours on it, my mother bought a brand new Ariens mower in 09 which Husqvarna makes, I have 2 Husqvarna chainsaws (455 Rancher, 262XP), my dad owned a Husqvarna Model 55 chainsaw and has a Husqvarna leaf blower, my cousin has a 455 Rancher, all have been excellent machines and see a lot of work.

Most on that list are the cheaper products Husqvarna makes.

Another question is how do you feel about MTD made products? What about JD mowers? Is John Deere junk to?

To the OP: Do you prefer to ***** and moan about how bad your dealer and Husky are, or would you prefer to get your new mower fixed so it works as it should?
I get your dis-satisfaction with your selling dealer, BUT it's up to YOU and him, possibly with Husky zone representative to resolve your issues.
So?
Why not ask your selling dealer to give you the name and number of the zone rep and then contact him to help you get this resolved?
What say you?

Husqvarna motorcycles were far from junk, How many low end machines use chrome-moly for their frames.

Written in the first post: "common customer service and courtesy should have rectified this issue."

Sounds like a dealer issue. Any machine can have a failure or breakdown. But it seems there is bad blood between the OP and the dealer. Hence "that feeling" when I was first purchasing. Was off to a bad start before the ink was dry.

So, maybe "Mr. Fixit Man" whose broad-brush says never buy Husqvarna should modify to say don't patronize this particular dealer?

i would have but no dealer bashin is allowed. i have had 2 husky chainsaws - one long time ago and junk - the 2nd is the 455? and as i said it worked great compared to my old stihl. but eventually it is pooping out. the reason i bought the mower was. another one of another brand died too many times last year and i spent a lot trying to get it fixedand i needed one without paying a whole lot of $ - recently bought a mahindra. that killed me and it was end of season so the price fit the bill and i did some homework and the dealer talked up his stuff and his connection to VP of husqvarna and all the various warranty's until i actually needed to use at 3 hrs old. so - i have a right to say what i said. been driving a garden tractor and regular tactors and bucket work for over 58 years. cut me some freakin slack to couple of you guys. jesus christ!

TBN doesn't really accept brand bashing, one persons experience with a product is one persons experience.

To claim the entire companies products are junk and someone shouldn't buy them based off your own experience is uncalled for.

Bash dealers or a specific model of mower but not all of Husqvarna.

Sorry buddy but no slack given.

If you have insight in to how things work at dealerships, and I know one who happens to carry this brand, I can see how such things can easily happen. I would not want to be in that business for love or money.

Too bad more people can't walk a mile in someone elses shoes as they say.

Besides, my Dad always said. If you want trouble, just buy yourself something.

With ~60 years of of equipment and mowing experience you chose and bought a Husqvarna. That tells me a lot. So from my perspective you are an experienced user and made an informed choice. No doubt the machine had a glitch or more, but it seems the terrible dealer here is to blame more than the machine?

Yes, I sympathize and wish you did not have the troubles you have found. But if you had a strong dealer who was responsive, would it be a different outcome?

I truly hope you get beyond these issues-- there is always plenty of work to do when machines function correctly! Diverting time to repairs, etc. just sucks ...
