Grands get off the school bus at our house on Friday and one spends the night (This Friday is Peyton turn). So, yesterday Elijah (The grand I've been referring to) comes in and asks to take the new RTV500. I told him a few instructions (50 hour break in period) and he and 6 year old brother left and also told him to take a walkie talkie. He returned saying it's a 10 out of 10 :D:cool2:. He drove it to top of the mountain twice and down the street and told his 6 year old brother he'd have to talk to me and wouldn't let him drive it.:)
I guess it is money well spent or going to be spent over the next 48 months. :cool2:

Back to 5 and finished. Should be my last Kubota purchase. Done. Finished. Over. No more. Service and parts will be my future at Barlows or just to stop by and say Hi and I'm still alive.......I hired a helper and added 8' width and 48' to the side of my barn to the right of the walk in door. Finished it a couple weeks ago............Now if they build some kind of new model that will do so much more for so much less, I can't say no to that!!!!!!:D:cool2: DSCF5044.JPGDSCF5043.JPGDSCF5046.JPGDSCF5048.JPG

Anybody else want to start a pool to see how long this lasts? History says it won't. ;-)

I think JT will be on #30 before too long. I'm impressed. John knows how to have fun.

And Barlow's should host an annual John Thomas customer appreciation day. JMHO

John's tried to suppress his tractor buying in the past, but I think it has spread into general Kubota vehicle buying. I don't follow his threads closely but it seems he has grandchildren growing up and needing Kubotas. I'm surprised I have not read of him buying Kubota generators.

Congratulations again John. You are indeed a blessed man.

I also now have two new different Kubota hats (I had gotten up to over 20 hats with a purchase but stopped taking numbers and only take the new ones that I don't already have to save some for other customers:D) and supplies for first service on the RTV500 due at 50 hours, 3 filters and 2 qts of oil.
I am a blessed man and I do try to enjoy all of life that I can while I can. This 71 thing sneaked up on me really quick and suspect 75 will be here tomorrow or the next day, just thought of it, all my Kubotas will be paid for and the additional 28 acres and almost my home when I get to the 75. Guess I'll have to replace them all then so I can have another 48 to 60 months to shoot for.:cool2::cool2::cool2:
Enjoy life and be sort of careful and scrimp and save for others to blow in a couple of weeks......or not.:D

When you say Kubota small Z you mean those big lawn mowers where you can sit on top of them?
Not according to people that actually have bought and use/used them. The original one I purchased is still running perfect with never a repair and currently is mowing a 21 unit residential multiply acres and storage units location. Between me and where it is currently being used my niece and nephew used it to mow a multiple acre home site. Has several years of proven dependability under it's belt now. Also a frequent user from the northwest used to provide regular updates on his use and satisfaction. Is it as powerful as a $13,000 commercial diesel, no, not by my experience nor was it as fast as the biggest gas powered 7xx Kubota Z but it cost less than half of what it cost. Isn't that strange how price seems to make a difference?????

Just saw a Kubota ZD221 at the dealer where I just picked up the F3680.
Never saw a ZD221. Small, but rugged looking diesel zero turn with a 54” deck. I bet it mows difficult, sloped, bumpy areas like a champ. It had only 250 hours on it!!! $7,500.
They also had a Kubota G1800, a small 4wd diesel kind of like an earlier, much smaller version of the F3680. Thing had ~4000 hours on it and looked like it was used in a military invasion.
