WOW!!! It sure turned out great. Did you make templates for all the letters or just freehand them?

OK, OK I may have been pulling your leg a bit here guys. I was waiting for one of you seasoned wood workers to jump on me with two feet but it didn't happen.

So since I'm now starting to feel guilty here's the rest of the story.

While I did cut the main frame and the inner frame with the plunge router I got lucky and found a eBay member in VA that cut all the rest for $35.00 using automated machinery.

Paint, glue, assemble, presto. Expensive looking sign for under 100 bucks. :D

Why use muscle when finesse works better? ;)

Mike,

do you have a member name for the ebayer that cuts the letters, I might be interested.

Thanks,

Derek

Hey Mike,
I was waiting for you to say something about the letters, I did kinda think that somebody cut the letters out on a scrowl saw and you inturn glued them into position. I was wrong but not too far off ;) :)

Scotty the wood is way to clean on the edges for a scroll saw. And since even the small Etc. remained sharp I'm guessing he used a laser maybe? Some of you guys most likely know a good deal more about how these are cut than I do, as wood is not my expertise.

Hi Mike,
They may very well have used a CNC router to do that type of work. Those things are amazing and very fast. :) Once its programed in just kick back and watch !:)
