The paint decision was already made for me if you know what I mean.
That was one of the reasons that I wasn't concerned that there was lots of knots in the wood initially knowing they wouldn't be seen anyway.
I could have gone with MDF Eddie but the lumber yard had this piece of cedar lying around from a special order. The guy didn't want it because of knots and splits so they made me a deal I couldn't refuse.
The wife thinks that the darker letters on a light creme background will stand out like a sore thumb. After looking at the sign for a few days I'm tending to side with her since visibility is what we're trying to achieve here anyway.
