West Coast Smoke, UGH!

As it moves into daylight here - the smoke and odor are much reduced. Brownie( Cocker Spaniel ) & I don't like spending so much time in the house. But I'm able to keep the house completely smoke-free and far healthier than outside. So here we are - wide eyed & both gazing out the bay window. I see our new friend, feral cat, has presented me with two dead mice on the front porch.

There's hope... the sky has a hint of blueish tint in the brown this morning. Ended up with 0.06in of rain last night.

I stepped out this morning and the smoke wasn't overwhelming and smell relatively clean. So i threw open the windows for a quick air out then closed everything back down when that little pocket of "clean" air moved on. We have two box fans with furnace filters going and a couple "air filters". It seems like the filters in the "air filters" have started to smell kinda sour to me, i wonder what that means?

Well that didn't last long... could just barely see my shadow and it's now gone and conditions worsening again.

I commented on this before, don't recall if it was in this thread: A friend's store got smoked when an adjacent store with the attic in common, smoldered all night. Insurance sent him a restoration specialist who ran two large electrostatic air purifiers for a full month. That cleaned all the merchandise and the store back to where you wouldn't know there was a fire. So they work.

They emit some ozone (an irritant) so aren't as popular for home use. But I've bought a couple of tabletop electrostatic air purifiers recently off ebay. They greatly improved indoor air, no more smoke smell or morning sore throat, while outdoors you couldn't find the sun in the murkyness.

Got up this morning and it was still dark. a fair amount of stars out. Daylight looked fairly clear, some blue sky even.
Boy did it change fast. Its brighter outside and at times it looked like the sun was coming out.
Lots of smoke now but better than yesterday

The last two mornings we've had hazy orange sunrises. By 3 p.m. it starts looking more like evening. I don't wear a watch and use outdoor conditions to know what time it is. This is throwing me off by about two hours.
