But nobody wants to pay for that so here we are. Not to mention the century long effort to suppress each and every fire, that's helped pile up the fuel. Started a 100 years ago so you can't really blame it on all the tree huggers/greenies/snowflakes and other nouns that 5030 could come up with.
It’d help if they didn’t sue to lock up the timber sales and salvage of the burnt timber. Take the Eagle Creek fire in the Columbia River gorge it has been locked up for salvage logging instead of removing the problem it just adds to it. To the roads we put them in to log an area and depending on who you’re working for you’re told to remove the roads or access when done or possibly remove the existing roads period.
