*Update*

I called the dealer today and they said the hydrostatic unit landed at JFK. BUT, now it has to go through customs (1-2weeks), then be shipped to Texas and inspected then to the dealer. It is with a bunch of other parts so their is no way of finding the package as I live 1.5 hrs from JFK and was going to try and get it. The fact that it's with other parts means that it was no special rush and basically nobody gives a crap when it will get here.
Not necessarily. Those other parts could all be on an urgent rush status too, going to other dealers across the country. It could be that was the fastest way to get your part on a shipment here.

I wish you well in getting the parts and getting this issue solved. I agree with others, need to find the source of the metal and also make sure there is not more in the tractor just waiting to ruin the new pump or other parts. If you had some at rear remotes, did it get into implements that you have used?

I have called Mahindra 3 times today and left two messages for two separate people and nobody called back. It has been 8 days and six messages since the customer service rep said she would call me back.

It's 2016, I don't consider 4+ weeks to get a part any kind of urgent rush.

:D I don't either. But that might be their best if they haven't started distributing parts for that tractor yet. Pretty pathetic overall, especially since it's a new tractor and new customer.

If you don't mind, what county are you in?

One of the nice things about this forum is that we can voice our opinions. But I think this reaction is way exaggerated, although it may be in jest. I suppose you want to help a fellow TBN brethren, but keep in mind that we do not know the other side of this story. Not saying the OP is not straight up, but we have not heard from MUSA or from the dealer and we probably never will.

I think it is fair to say that parts should be on the shelf and calls should be returned. I agree. But when I call Mahindra, they answer. When I order parts I get them right away. Pretty much 100% of the time. So let's not let this get blown out of proportion. I did wait several weeks recently for some non-critical Kubota parts. The tractor was still in use, so no big deal...but it was about 3 weeks and it could have just as well been an important part. I'm not going to boycott or even get mad at Kubota. It just happens occasionally.

I hope you get your tractor issues resolved sooner rather then later.

Sometimes the money you pay extra for established brands helps things run smoother when things go wrong.

Having said that, I know auto parts are often hard to come by for very late model vehicles from the big three. So maybe it's just that.

On a separate note. I ordered a relay from Eaton (BIG company). It took six weeks. Wrong one came. But the right one took eight weeks and a lot of crap being flung into the fan. And a whole bunch of "it's en route" during those eight weeks! Maybe it's just these wonderful times we live in.

I would love the phone # and person you were talking to. I already have the 800 number in TX and the # for Bloomsberg, PA.
