Hi,

There is a large area of my property where I consider a bagger to be essential for picking up leaves, not to mention during mowing of the lawn. I note that these tractors have no such attachment. How do you guys get around having to rake and bag? Do you need a separate machine?

Thanks!

My lawn area is pretty small, so I use a push mower. But, I don't even use a bagger for that. I take what I believe is the environmentally best route (and it just so happens to be the easiest route! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif) of letting the lawnmower mulch the clippings and return them to the ground. I also do the same thing with leaves, although I blow them into certain areas first.

I set up a bagging system on mine - with a vacuum I purchased from cyclone rake - it works very well - especially after dethatching - the one problem I find though is length
- with my machine (1845) plus the deck out front and the vac out back it is really long and has got me into trouble in tight spots
it really depends on your property - plus I has to do some modifying because I didn't want the vac to trail the machine on wheels - I wanted it fully mounted - I still have not posted a photo yet - need to

I was re-thining the situation and thought about re-mounting the vacuum right on top of the deck with pins to remove it quickly - this way I could drop the whole unit deck, vac and all plus it would elliminate the elaborate hose system to the back and of course would really cut down on the length problem - (I have already destroyed a bush) but that would all come at the expense of reduced vision up front which might not be a bad trade off - so I'm still pondering

the bag would still fold down for storage when parking the deck for storage This is a big concern of min e since the deck basically stays on the machine only when I cut - I then move to the other attachments for variuos chores
