What are you using to lube your implements and tractors?

What is working well for you? I've been working on PTO shafts, sizing, cutting and lubing since I've bought some new equipment. I've always just used grease but is there something that works for you that may be better.

Also, I've been spraying fluid film on all exposed, unpainted, surfaces of my tractor. Anyone else using something else?
What do you define as "fluid film"? Too generic to have meaning.

Keep in mind that Milwaukee as well as DeWalt are ITC products, made in the same Chinese factory. Just different packaging. Same applies to the HF stuff. I'm totally color blind but I'm cost driven.

Have a can of that stuff on the shelf. Only thing I use it for is on the outside of battery terminals.

Don't know how I ever did without one of these. Tempted to buy a second Milwaukee M12 version for the few areas I use different grease.

I use the Lucas marine on just about everything. Calcium sulphonate based with great corrosion and oxidation protection. Seems to stick around a lot longer in outdoor equipment. It's also available at basically every parts house.
I was originally going to buy the Milwaukee. I like their tools, but I caught the Dewalt on sale. And I have other Dewalt tools that use the same batteries. I still use my manual grease gun with a pinpoint tip to lube my PTO safety shield cover bearings. The shields don't have a grease zerk. Just a little nipple with a hole in it.

Milwaukee is a Techtronic Industries Co brand along with Ryobi and Hart. Where something is made matters a lot less than who is setting the specifications and who is doing the QC. With Milwaukee it depends on exactly what you're buying where its made. I've seen China, Taiwan, Mexico, USA and Vietnam among others.

DeWalt is a Stanley Black & Decker brand along with Craftsman, Black and Decker, Porter Cable and even Mac hand tools. Same applies for their tools, depends on what it is as to where its made.

Milwaukee didn't exist when I bought the DeWalt. Higher voltage tools I've got a lot of DeWalt (especially like the flexvolt 60V and flexvolt advantage 20v stuff) but I love the Milwaukee 12V stuff. It does 95% of what I need with a lot less size and weight. Don't know what I'd do without my little sidewinder cutoff tool.

I've got a mini 3oz gun with a needle tip for the front driveshaft on my truck. The cardan joint on it has the same style grease fitting.

JT6 with the Dewalt 20v grease gun. Tie that in with the 20v tire inflator and general walk around maintenance is no longer a chore.

WW for the vehicles

Gibbs Brand Oil for quick spray on for shafts and bare metal. Surprisingly good at a lot of things besides bare metal. Wipe on paint or plastic also. Doesn't seem to attract dust. Highly recommend. Home - Gibbs Brand Lubricant

WD40 for some hair of the dog wipe down cleaning on bare aluminum. Other than that I think it's useless.
FWIW I suspect the formula is different than 40 yrs ago. 1 can lasts me years.
I chuckled at the "never in a lock" statement. Been there. Never on anything that has to slip and fit.

I've been using marine grade grease and it seems to work well for me. No danger of rain washing it out.
