Here in NW Ohio, I learned that when spring is here which was about 2 weeks ago I see the Honeybees bring in polin. They get it from the Silver Maples trees which are about the first things to start to bloom. This is just before the leaves begin to show. I have seen this as early as the last of February and as late as the middle of April. This year it was about March 12.

Morel hunting season started about a month earlier than usually.
