I got myself a new Kubota RTV-X1100c with the snow blower......it was delivered right after the snow melted...lol. I did get to check out the blower and it is amazing!!! It will do a great job this spring, summer and fall hauling and dumping sand & stone.

With a huge stack of kiln dried sawmill wood in the 2" thick by 12" wide variety in my shop it was blatantly obvious my little table top Dewalt planer was not up to the task. So I poured over FB Marketplace until I found what I was looking for, an old school 15" 220v planer. I found a Delta DC-380 for $600 which is WAY cheaper than anything else I was seeing. You should have seen the rusted out planers on there for $800-$1200. For $600 if I decide it is too big for my shop I can easily get my money back out of it and maybe make some money on it. But honestly anyone who owns a sawmill should also own a capable planer ike this, so chances are I will keep it. Got new blades coming, while I wait I am going to clean it up and adjust some things. Looking forward to seeing what this thing can do. Also this finally gives me a reason to do a 220v outlet in my shop. I plan on wiring a drop cord style outlet out of the breaker box for now. That way I can use it over by the wood working stuff but also pull it outside to weld things with the stick welder.

If that planer is an earlier model 380 made in Brazil, they are a pretty good planer, if it's a later one made in china, then not so much.

I think these Merrell shoes from Amazon are one of the best values in shoes. I've probably gone through 10 pair so far. Depending on the color you get, they are priced very well. VERY Comfortable and pretty rugged shoes. I have not torn up a pair yet, though I'm big and usually the soles finally start to support me less and I replace them.

Nice to be able to buy new! Our 1100c rides much better than our old RTV-900.

Our newest Vehicle out of 15. Very high mileage (+10.3K & 2400 Hours) on this 2019 RTV-1100C @ +10.5Miles bought to augment our old RTV900. $17K. The 1100C definitely not seen farm use, as most golf carts have been worked harder. Now it will have to earn its keep.

Got a Yankum rope recovery kit. Last storm dumped on a layer of ice, had several guys hung get hung up. Friend yanked out a one ton , plow and sander that was over a bank with no drama with one. Little spendy but a lot safer than the old wire rope that has seen better days that I've been using.

That appears it can be very hard on suspension of towed vehicle.
I have a 3" wide woven nylon strap rated for 20,000# with hooks on each end. It gives some, but nothing drastic like the video shows.

The "give" in the kinetic roads is what cushions the jolt to both vehicles and suspensions.
The flat straps with hooks don't provide near the advantage the stretch ropes do.
I grew up with chains and wire cables, then tried the straps (never really cared for them) and now the ropes, the ropes are much better and easier on the equipment.

Hey, I used to repair those parts that hold the red and yellow spool on the machines back in the day. Did thousands and thousands of those things for the local rope and baling twine factory.

The base was made of plastic that was molded around the shaft where the spool slides over. Over time, those plastic bases broke. So I made the base out of steel instead and welded the shaft to it. Lasted much much longer. Eventually, it started breaking the shaft but that was due to overloading the spools.

The property taxes were only $40 for this piece of land. I don’t guess I can expect them to fix the road that washed away for that money.

Wheel centering sleeves, a GPS, a stereo, rear fenders and brackets, some lighting, a step toolbox, and a few other things.

All in preparation for picking up the new-to-me Pete next month.

Air inducer motor for the HVAC for outside air. 1/5 HP and still over $200, but it is a exact fit OEM Fasco.

Also ordered a 16 x 16" electrical enclosure that will house the underground wiring termination from the generator at garage to House to carry 240 VAC to a power chargeverter to charge the Inverters 48V batteries, if needed.
