Now you need some orange deep shag carpet.
part of that 70's rubber backed carpet has been ripped up in that room due to a historic flood that backed storm water up through the neighborhood sewer into my basement shower drain. It's always been hideous since I bought the place but never had the gumption to rip it out and replace it.

I ordered 3 EV's recently over the last 6 weeks. E-bikes that is. I have been price/spec./feature shopping ever since my wife wanted one mostly for transportation adventure while camping and just to putt about our rural roads.

There is something going on with Amazon.com and E bikes.

The first one I ordered was oddly low priced at $379 with free freight.

Amazon.com: Funhang Electric Bike for Adults, Peak 1000W Ebike, 25MPH 60Miles Electric Mountain Bike, 26" Fat Tire Adult Electric Bicycle with 48V 13AH Battery, Rear Rack, 7 Speed, Front Suspension, Turn Signal
Amazon.com

It was shipped thru “China Freight”, (not very inspiring)

The E-Bike never showed up, yet tracking the Ebike, it was stated it was delivered on March 15.

After a call to Amazon my account was credited.

If you go on Amazon this is closest replacement, but has a $220 freight charge!

Amazon.com

So I kept shopping on Amazon over the next few weeks and was I was about to order this for $526. It also had a 10% discount that would not apply on the checkout, so I called Amazon. They supplied a code, and then when I tried to reorder the Price went up to $699, so I would have been better to have ordered at the $526 price.

Amazon.com

Then yesterday I found this and ordered for $402.99.

Amazon.com.

I checked later in day and it was up to $999. I just checked today 3/30/25 and it is back down to $402.99??

I tracked the package and again it is supposedly shipping by “China Post” , but I will not get my hopes up.

I will call Amazon and request that this be a signed at receipt delivery and that they document delivery with photos.

PS
Hear is a review of the bike.

Some of the battery and solar prices are all over the map right now as well. Some have gone up 20%+ and then I saw a Great deal on Hyundai 390 watt bi facial solar panels yesterday, @ $63 a panel from a company that over bought making them under 20 cents a watt delivered.

Last August I paid $180 each for some 450 watt panels.

Was not going to buy more until next year , but at around 60% off and also being a tier one manufacturer, I went ahead and bought a full pallet of 27.

As of now I have ordered 4 E-bikes from Amazon. Amazon has a problem with 3rd party sellers, (mostly foreign) (just guess which country?), that are hijackings product adds on Amazon, changing the seller, while advertising too good to be true prices. If you order the products, they will not arrive. If you track the delivery, the tracking says the products show up. Amazon will refund you the purchase, but you never get the product.
If you purchase any sizeable purchase on Amazon, be sure to check out the seller first.
I just order this from Amazon as my forth attempt at an e-bike purchase. A good deal, but not an unbelievable deal. I actually received a tracking number from Fed-Ex and Surnat E-Bikes actually have 6 warehouses in the USA.
Amazon.com
I would check out your solar panel supplier?, Where and whom did you purchase them ant out of curiosity, what was the cost?
PS This is a good battery, I bought one for our camper last year for $400.

Beene Brothers out of Texas, was posted up by a member over on DIY Solar Forum.

They had several trucks coming in and are selling these pallets of Hyundai 390 watt bifacials cheap.

Shipping is not too bad for 1800 mile distance @ $400.

new 27 panel full pallet for $1684.80

So $2084.80 for 10.53 KW

UIAM these panels are made in S Korea.

This should get me close to a net 0 power bill during summer months and keep the EV "gassed Up"

I have not bought from this seller before so we will see, but other members have on that site.

Don't know on Micro inverter panels, I went full in on DC panel strings at as high a DC voltage as I could. I do have a couple Alibaba MPPTs coming that were a great price as well but can't pass judgement on their performance yet.

My existing 14.4 KW solar setup so far, has peaked at over 16KW sometimes, averaging around 50-60 KWH of solar on non cloudy days. In August last year, I paid over $6K for the 14.4 KW pallet, Yeah this is the best price I have seen for already in the USA pallet of solar panels, shipped.

If I was in Texas, I would have hooked up the fifth wheel utility trailer gone for a drive and bought a couple more.

Back to the thread, what else are TBN members buying? Spring is here should be some Nice shiny tractors coming to new homes:)

Our 14.4Kw panels max at about 13Kw/hr or +90KW for the day during summer.

I just ordered a Reist Industries RR84 Roto Rake for my tractor. Very excited to get it! I wish I had known about these Power Rakes before I got my tractor!!! I would have had one when I got my tractor.

... a 14" freezeless anti-siphon sillcock.

Went to turn water on to the greenhouse the other day and found the spigot on the side of our house had a hairline leak when pressurized for the first time this year.

Usually I shut it off with a ball valve in the basement, about 8' in from the outer wall, then open the outside spigot and it drains out since it's sloped. First time in 30+ years it split. I must have not drained it out soon enough last fall. This should lessen that chance from happening again.

Bought tires, nearly $3,000 for six of them, and they're far from top of the line.

Okay, they're supposedly very good for cheap imports.

I like my Makita 6421. It was bought to replace a Stihl Farm Boss that was stolen out of my barn. A guy at work bragged about his Farm boss. I thought it was a dog compared to the Makita. I do miss the Stihl 250 that was also stolen. It was replaced with the newer 251 which takes a certain technique to start. The old 250 would start every time.

4 tires for my Jeep, mounted and balanced $1100, old tires were slightly past their wear bars.

We just replaced 4 tires on a Mustang (very low mileage but Michelin's were cracked from age) with these Goodyears. Mounted, balanced & road hazard about $600 total.
I thought that was a lot...until NOW.
