Body man seems to think I will have more than I paid for the truck in fixing the dents. Did I mention that the truck has 64,499 miles on it? I spent the afternoon getting the title transferred today, Hopefully it will run soon!

That's land not enough to grow corn on but I suppose you won't need to grow corn or anything else once you move in...

Figured it was time so we wouldn't burden the kids when the inevitable occurs. Plus, we wanted to be near where her dad (and eventual mom) is buried, and the place was filling up.

Today I bought an $8 tube of white silicone caulk from Ace. Thirty years ago when a contractor installed all new windows in my house he thought he's surprise us with a bay window for the kitchen. It had a crank up top with screen we've never used. Wasps have been getting in like crazy somehow and we got a few stings. Yesterday was the last straw one climbed up my pantleg stinging/biting as it went!
So I said we never open it, seal it shut. Of course the 10 minute job took all day! I removed hardware & screen. Brushed & cleaned everything. Then caulked both sides and plopped it in place. Smoothed best I could but dear wife said " I don't care what it looks like as long as it keeps dam bees out!
That worked for me!

That's a shame letting that sit like that! After cleaning it all up it may be pretty nice and I'd put $ in it since your Dad's & low mileage.

Not something I bought but maybe an interesting story. We have good friends/neighbors next door. They're just a year younger than wife & me.
I'm finishing lunch & she's at a consignment shop 15 minutes away. She sees this walnut bench someone made that would be nice in front of their fireplace, a Christmas gift for her husband (having heart surgery tomorrow ) and what did I think. $300. We thought their living room is rustic and it's pretty nice...so I picked it up in my truck, stored in garage here until Christmas Eve.
It's really well made and HEAVY! People looked at me funny as I carried it through the store. I'll refinish it a bit and she loves to cook...so any day I know she'll bring a cake or pie over.
It's nice helping someone out once in a while!

That's when Mrs was bringing band-aids. Then I'm on top of the ladder where it says "this is not a step" when I ran out of caulk. Luckily one of three tubes I had here hadn't dried out yet.

Got it off the trailer (had to have help) today, so it has been washed and had to spray the floorboards for ants again!
Won't be a rush to fire it up, want to make sure the wiring hasn't been damaged by the rats!

As i get older i get stronger. Now days i can lift $400 worth of groceries with one arm
