It is also amazing that a tractor has the power to get you up off the couch and doing something. Tractors are good Therapy and helps keep your mind and body active. Everyone should be able to obtain a Rx prescription for a tractor.

I've always utilized my tractor time as my 'me' time. Even if I'm not doing much, which will come as I whittle down this list of projects, just puttering around, it'll still be just that. It's also much better me time with power steering ;)

helped the neighbor across the road again today, his nephew came back a few days ago and they trimmed a trailer load of limbs. Those are now piled in my yard for chipping when the leaves dry up a little.

While I was getting his limbs, another neighbor from down the road stopped and asked if I wanted some he had piled up, so I went and got those as well.....

and we have a cherry tree that split into two trunks at the bottom, and was side was almost completely dead, so I cut that down and reduced it to chips and smoker wood chunks ;) Chipped the limbs into a dump cart, then dumped them in my bucket. I couldn't get my bucket to turn loose for some reason or I would have just chipped them directly into it. Saves all that handling them multiple times:

all in all, a productive day :)

Initially, I let the tank (by the reading on the gauge) get to just below half, then topped it off. Only took about 2 gals. Then I have run the gauge to the 'red' area on the gauge (about 1/8 tank). Only took about 4 1/2 gals. The last time I filled the gauge got to just below the 'E' mark. It took 5 1/4 gals. So, overall, not real accurate. Not sure if it's just mine or if they are all like that.

Mine has done the same on my Massey since new, I just removed my sending unit and cleaned the connections, now it works as it should..:confused3:

I agree 100%.. It's good for you..
I met a guy not long ago that operates a pretty large apple farm, he has several tractors, he is 90 years old, we were talking tractors, he told me if he couldn't have a tractor he would be dead already..

Doing the same thing with the fuel gauge. Has about 12-13 hours since the last fill and it's fluctuating between just below half and empty. Guess it matters if the machine is level or not too.

Even at that, I don't think a half a gallon an hour is all that bad.

Anybody have a feel for Fuel Gauge accuracy on the 125s? I topped mine off at 13.4 hours to where I could see it in the strainer basket in the tank neck. I'm at about 24 hours now and the gauge is still around half or just below. Use has been mixed, idling, BH and loader work, driving around, etc.
On my 3025 I get about 2 days.

Check the back side of your battery. Mine looks like some of plastic melted from heat of the radiator. Since I am having fuel problems battery got a little weak pulled it to charge that now I found it.

Took out two very old and well embedded 12 x 12 posts. Far too heavy to lift by one person. Ground here is clay and rock. When it's wet it's slippery on the surface, but it packs around stuff like concrete. Then when it dries, it's difficult to dig. Had to cut bot posts off just above ground since they would push over slightly, but not come up or out. Once I did that, one of the bases came out fairly easy. Wiggled it around a bit, then hooked the BH teeth into it and pulled up. The other one wasn't having any of that. I ended up having to dig a rather big hole to be ale to break it loose for the clay, rock and roots that had wrapped around it over 40 years or so.

But it's out now.

The mess I made in the mud got me started on trying to rework that area so it will drain better. That may be a several day job. Not sure if it will dry enough to work before the next rains.
