What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

Im almost 300hrs and seen 2 for sure but if you are working your tractor say in cruise control or with throttle up running mower or such things might not even know it happened unless looking down and see the dummy lights!

Mine is about every 50hrs. The first was at 50.0, second was at 99.9, third was at 145.8, and this one at 193.6. I keep a spread sheet.

Broke it.

Fixed it.



Started out this morning to do a couple of minor things. For/Rev pedals were really sloppy. Figured it my be hydraulics not warmed up, but it didn't get better. Then it quit. No motion. I'm at the bottom of my hill, on wet ground, with only a few hand tools. Quick check showed me the pedals weren't moving the HST linkage at all. Noticed a roll pin that had mostly backed out. If it had fallen out completely, I wouldn't have known what to look for. Couldn't get it driven back in ... no hammer or punch and the MMM was in the way. Was able to get it out and found a nail that would go in for a temporary pin. That was close enough to get some movement, but not close enough to really work. In superslow creeper mode ( 10 minutes for 500' !!! ), I was able to get it back up top the paved driveway to dig deeper.

Dropped the MMM off and took the pedal assembly off so I could drive the pin back in and rig up a keeper wire.

Seems to be OK now and gained some of my forward speed back, so this may have been working loose for a while.

Dug about 70' of trench to get water to our greenhouse and garden.

I leveled off a spot this weekend for a 22ft above ground swimming pool. As some of you might know, there is not much level ground around my property. Seems like 75% of what I do on my tractor is leveling off spots for various things. This pad is ~32ft diameter, Cut into the bank about a foot and brought in material to bring up the low side, almost 4 feet. Hard to see in the photos, but its a big pad.

Cant wait for warmer temps to get out an enjoy my new (to me) pool!

Was not today, but on Saturday morning. Woke up to no water in the house and a new babbling brook in the yard! So, put the BH on the tractor and dug up the muck to get to the broken pipe. Got it all fixed / put back together. Sunday got it back filled and graded out. Not exactly what I was planning for the weekend, but.... at least got it all fixed.
