On digging, 7 points on the ground always beats three. FEL bucket down solid, all four tires and outriggers. These small outriggers and the FEL are not intended to lift the tractor off the ground. FEL can be pointed down to dig into the dirt also.
I'm undecided about latching the FEL onto anything like a stump as it might cause undue stress on the mounting points. Always remember, these are homeowner level convenience tools, not industrial excavators. I've dug out 20 or 30 stumps so far (see earlier in this thread), but each one was a task and took time and effort.
I've also buried a few animals for neighbors.
On hauling water, again, might be too much for the FEL. Water is heavy and the load moves unpredictably. A small amount over a short distance might be OK. I tried it a couple of times and lost too much to sloshing to be worthwhile. Rigged up a 55 gallon drum laying on a trailer that worked out much better. 50 -100 gallon stock or spray tanks aren't priced too bad if you'll be doing a lot of hauling and have a trailer to carry them.
