What did you do to your tractor today?

What I did to my tractor today: fixed the broken drawbar hitch and bent rod. It got bent & broken trying to pull out a fully loaded 14 yard dump truck with a 3/8" chain. Actually broke the ears off the pin attachment point for the drawbar. I welded them back on, but have my doubts as to it holding much as the bracket appeared to be cast iron rather than cast steel. At least it didnt crack out when I welded it with 7018. That bent rod was a PIA to straighten. I picked the whole rear end of the tractor up with hydraulic jack centered on the V bend and didnt straighten it when cold. Had to heat it with a torch to get it straight enough to remove from the bracket then pound it with a 16# sledge hammer to finish straightening it.

LOOKS LIKE A VERY NICE WELD. I wish I could weld like that. My welds usually hold but just look awful!!

Put a bit of paint on the exhaust to finish it off.

Drained the oil out of the transmission and leaving it to drip all night.

Made two pins for the stablisers as they were missing.

Steamed off the back end ready for painting

Been painting the fenders and hood and misc. other sheet metal on my 1983 Kubota B6200. It's coming out mostly good for a backyard painter. (Actually in-the-garage-with-heaters-on painter.)

What I do to the tractor today - well after be inspired by those here and tired of putting the chain and chain saw in the bucket or BH bucket on my b21 I made a scabbord and mounted to the left frame. Also put a 7.62MM ammo box for the chain.

The box has about 1" clearance for the hood and the chainsaw fits nicely too with 2" + clearance. I considered putting the scabbord on the FOPS but this is more out of the way and doesnt impact viewing either.

Thanks GP - dont have a welder ( yet) so this is plywood laminated setup serves the purpose.

I restored a L185DT with FEL and BH in 97-98 then bartered it for my barn build and got the B21.

Post some pics of your B6200 when you get a chance!

It's in pieces and parts right now lol.

I'll post some up soon.

Drat, I just sprayed the hood and it was going great, 90% done, when I got some splatter drops. I'll have to sand that when it dries and paint it again.
