What do you folks think about this coming Winter?

If we get snow fall in the winter to match the rain fall this summer is is gonna get deep around here.

I know because I'm just north of you in south WI.....the water is heading your way. Western Madison received 15" of rain they are trying to recover from. We only had 5" from that storm and we got another 4" in the last 24hrs.

I have read cold and many Nor'Easters for Maine but who knows. I could do without the cold we had the end of December and the beginning of January last year that's for sure. One more winter for me here, I'm moving to the warmth in the spring for good..

My next door neighbor moved to Fl. two years ago and it has been so hot they can't stand it . The wife hates it their . Maybe your not going that far south .

Ocala area.. I like heat so I think I will be okay.. I'm working on 56 years old and I think my blood is thinning..LOL

WE were looking into that area also , it seems to be one of the better areas of Fl. in my book . My neighbors results kind of turned me off , they are seriously thinking of selling and moving to Mississippi . They live on the west coast of Fl. on a canal in Port Charlette . If I were to try that move I would want to rent first and see how things went .

My youngest sister owns a large horse farm in Citra and it's really nice. I like the area, I like being out a ways..

My brother is selling his home in Arizona where he's lived for many years and moving back to Maine. He's retired and says that if it gets too cold he'll just throw another log on the stove in his woodworking shop.

I like Maine a lot, coming from MA it was a good choice coming from the rat race, it's time for me to slow down a bit, cutting and splitting firewood and moving two to three storms of snow a week in freezing cold temps are starting to wear on me. Having poor circulation in my legs and feet and having had frostbite several times are big factors in my decision to move south.. Maine is a great state to live in and I will miss living here..

We don't need any more cheddar water down here. According to the weather service website the rock river rose approximately 4 feet last week by Byron almost 8 feet in the past three weeks.

Yes Madison area has been getting hammered. If you take that 15" rain and figure 10" snow per inch of rain and a tall giraffe would be in trouble ....

I had over 7" by Winnebago last week..
