I run a NH TC45D. Chief dislike after about 80-90 hours is that there is no skirt/guard around the belt. While bush-hogging, have had 2 saplings (about 3/4") slip into belt in last 11 days & knock it off: once while moving forward, once while backing up. Am in process of putting together a homemade brush guard to address the problem.
I have a 1951 Ferguson TO-20, and I love it. The biggest complaint I have is that it has no parking brake. If I have to stop on a hill, I have to turn the engine off and engage a gear in the opposite way the tractor would roll. You'd be surprised how often that situation presents itself, and how annoying it is. I assume modern tractors have parking brakes. Other than that my Fergie was so far ahead of its time, I have little to complain about, even for a 50 year old tractor!!!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I didn't like how difficult it was to unscrew those bolts on the folding ROPS. Drilled them out and replaced them with hitch pins, but as equipped it took forever to loosen or tighten them
It's hard to find fault with a TC29D (after all the D stands for Deluxe!), but I really don't like the way the roll bar flips up and down. For some reason I had it in my mind it would be a spring loaded pin, so all you had to do was pull out on each pin and it would flip down. I didn't realize until the first time I went to put it in my garage that it has a pin with a clip that you have to pull all the way out each time. Just a little thing I guess and someday I hope to build a pole barn with a 10' door so it won't be a problem anyway! Coming in at a close second would be having to make those monthly payments! I got a good deal, but it still amazes me how much these things cost.
A couple of things: My 790 is pretty light although I knew that when I bought it. There is some sort of rattle in the ROPS area that I can't yet trace, no cupholder and finally the exhaust stack is at the same level as my ears /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif
I have the worst possible tractor problem....I dont own one yet. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Planning on getting one in the last fall or early spring though /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
Naturally, there are several little things I don't particularly like, such as the yellow dipsticks mentioned by others, the lack of a cupholder, the mid-PTO lever being in the way (since I never use it), etc., but the thing I like least:
