What do you pay for diesel?

Pump price here on the Far South Coast NSW is AUD$1.60 per litre, Hydraulic oil AUD$6.00 per litre, engine oil AUD$5.00 per litre. I would love to pay your prices.

Road tax here is 40 cents. Take that off posted prices you see around and that is what farm diesel costs, aka last time around $3.25/gal.

On road diesel is currently going for $3.81/gallon. I had a load of farm diesel delivered a few weeks ago and it was $3.47 (250 gallons, ouch!)


There was one local station that was actually charging $3.68 even though the sign said $3.81! I filled up the truck a couple of different times there and was thinking about taking a couple of 55 gallon drums over but they changed the pump to $3.81

Gas has been dropping lately. I saw one station yesterday with it at $3.22 although other stations are at $3.51

Although we live in Ohio, most of our shopping is done across the river in Kentucky. AIt is interesting how the gas prices are different between the two areas, a mile apart. One day Ky will be cheaper by a nickel, the next day Ohio is better.

$3.61 is the regular price. I use my Brookshire's grocery points to lower it. For every $100 dollars in grocery purchases you get $0.10/gallon discount for a max of 30 gallons. I got $1.20/gallon discount the other day.

It's still a little cheaper (10-15 cents) than road diesel as , there is no road tax on it.. I know of some that take the chance and run off road (no road tax) diesel in their diesel trucks to save that 10-15 cents per gal. I'm not gonna take that chance

Over here, because the price difference between red and normal is massive, big organised crime are involved shipping, removing the dye and distributing red. The consequences of getting caught are correspondingly harsh. Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs take a very dim view of anyone depriving the Queen of her hard earned income.

$3.99 at the pump. I did notice that a station selling off road had a price of $3.65. It's cheaper if you buy it in bulk.

I just picked up 100 gals., paid $3.24 for off road. The oil company will deliver free for 100 gal min but, I use barrels and go pick it up myself at the oil company to save the EPA spill fee which cost more than my fuel to go get it.

I paid 3.21 (gal) for home heating oil last week but diesel is $3.98. I thought they were the same stuff and if so, if there is .75 in taxes and fees for road stuff then I think that stinks. The stuff wholesale is around $3. Trucking companies get slammed from every which way which in effect slams us when we ship something to ourselves. How does Europe cope?

4.03 taxed in western NY, plus i get 3 cents off with AAA at a Noco station. I usually go to the Indian rez and get off road for 3.40 for the tractor and stuff. I do not use the off road fuel in my truck since it is a commercial truck.
