What do you use for tarps?

Real canvas will out last most of us here.
No special treatment needed. It was used on sailing ships, covered wagons, sheep herder tents & bed rolls. Will keep you or most anything dry.
Plan to cover the seats on my tractor, back hoe & old Dodge.

Tried those plastic tarps & around here lucky to get a year out of them.

Hey ... Did you guys know those huge billboard signs you see around the cities are actually heavy duty tarps ? And you can buy used ones that will not wear out for a few years.
They are vinyl and I have one on my topsoil pile that's lasted over four years so far.
Bad news is the shipping costs as much as the tarp.

Yeah, there's a thread on here but I could not find any near me.

I've got a silver Harbor Freight tarp that's been covering hay for nearly years. I stacked the hay in the shade to try and make the tarp last longer. It looks like it'll make it through a third year.

That's what I'm writing about. I think 5 years is good.

I use the silver tarp from HF. It has been in full sun for five years now covering an old tiller. I guess when it goes bad will replace it with the same.

Most definitely check your local billboard companies. Here they give the used ones away, and glad to be rid of them. The back sides are black, if you don't care to see the printed side. Most here the Amish get to make tarps for themselves.

I got 4 myself to temporarily stack some coal on, and cover. A buddy of mine has also gotten numerous ones for his experiment with covering vegetable food plots, to kill off weeds.
