What features or improvements do you wish your Kioti had?

A smoother running engine, less vibration. More sound deadening in the cab. Put a steel roof on the dang thing, plastic? really? What trying to save a few pounds? I know it can't be more expensive, price a replacement one! Anyway that is the major ones I would like to see. CJ

One thing the engineers tend to forget is the ease of getting on and off the tractor. This morning through the gate, picking up brush, picking up fire wood and fueling up I probably was on/off 10 to 15 times. Those little things like brake lever, light switch, ignition, hyd lever, etc are very important, at least to me.

Couldn't agree more!

One of the reasons why the HST model was more appealing was the deck. During a short test drive of the HST and a manual CK35, I noticed the care needed to get off the manual machine without catching my size 11 boots on the clutch , gear lever and everything else. (Not saying I'm clumsy, but old age and stupidity seem to be catching up with me more and more;)).

I could see this being much more of a problem with a CUT than on the only other tractor I had driven, an older much larger model. And especially given the number of times you have to get on and off - as you say.

Also like the simple mod for the parking brake by Amvcane - putting the brake on every time is a habit I'm trying to get into.

Are there any new cab tractors out there now made with a steel roof?Just asking.

My cab on my bobcat CT 225 has a steel roof. It is made by cozy cab for bobcat they also make one for the CKs. It is a very heavy duty cab.

A cup holder in front of the seat.

I can't believe the lack of storage planning in my DK50 cab. Why isn't there a glove box? Why is there no overhead storage? Why is there no earphone jack in the radio?

Holly cow!!! Listen to us. Remember when tractors had crank starts and cabs were unheard of. Now we are all glove boxes and cup holders and massaging heated seats (ok maybe not that but why not). From that perspective we have come a really long way. I'm still in the stage that when I look at my tractor I can't believe how many things they did think of and how much more awesome it is than all the rest of them I've ever had.

Arm rest on the seat, better/larger tool box.

Seeing the improvements Kioti has made to the new NX series tractors made me remember all the bells and whistles that I decided that I could live without to get the deal I did on my DK.

Features I now wish I had from the factory:
- e-pto/1000rmp pto
- better suspension seat
- HST throttle advance
- loader 3rd function
- front fenders
- increase/decrease/resume on cruise control
- better toolbox/better storage (under the seat or in the floor?)
- electronic brake controller
- signal lights mounted higher (can't see with most implements attached)
- protection for roof lights (NX now mounts them below the roof line)
- better placed antenna (put it on a pillar, not the roof)
- fill fuel from ground level, I hate the filler on hood
- external rear pto disable

I understand from a business point of view that adding unecessary "frills" infringes on price point, so I would pay extra for all but the last 5.

What features do you wish your machine had?

The factory should take a long, hard look at who their customer is for CUTS.

As such, Kioti should offer a 3rd function option for every tractor they make. It is a value add and easy to make happen with the weight of the factory. I've had two Kioti dealers tell me that they'd install a factory 3rd function on every tractor they have on the lot.

The NX antenna is on the B pillar, not on the roof.

In no particular order, options i would have purchased out of the gate had they been available:

Grill guard inserts.
Chainsaw holder should be made available for most models.
As should a tool box.
Up-rate steering guards should be made available. Kioti offers steering guards, but needs to redesign them so they work better from underside damage.
Skid plates for the under carriage would be wonderful on CUTs with our limited ground clearance.
An up-rated lighting package should be made available.
As should air suspension seats.
Better cab moldings for holding things. I like the control layout, I just wish the bubble-holes were better at holding things.
Curtesy light on cab models.
The fenders that are available in Europe: bring them over to the USA. Why is getting fenders on a tractor so very, very, hard?
Make your dealers stock some parts. I'm getting nickeled and dimed on shipping.

For Russia, Canadian, Minnesota, and anywhere else it gets cold: an optional cold weather package on premium models beyond a fuel filter heater. We have frost down to 47" right now and it has been a mild winter. Mild. Winter.

Only a few years ago Ford was surprised to learn that 30% of people buying basic pickup trucks would also buy high content, expensive-trim models with options comparable with a Mercedes e-class. Now look at what has happened in the industry: OEMs are viewed as a backwater if they don't offer heated steering wheels and air conditioned seats all the way round.
