I hit a white stripped ***** cat and my brush hog still stinks and that was 2 years ago man was it bad, i smell them now in the road dead and i get sick to the tummy

...Ok, how about a box springs? Yep, some amorous previous owner had dragged the box spring of a bed down near the lake and years later all that was left were the freaking springs. After hitting them the first time, they proved surprisingly hard to find in the grass, and reappeared from time to time for years. Hope that's over.

I hit a box spring last summer that had been burned on a brush pile, just charcoal & wire left in the grass. The wire isn't particlarly friendly to cutting pliers either. Had to drop the disk to get it out. MikeD74T

Last year there was a post on this forum about somebody hitting a croc... Too bad, could have made several handbags out of it..

Oh, and i once cut off two back legs of a rabbit while mowing silage... Legs were half off, only hanging on some ragged skin.. It seemed to have jumped up over the disk mower, but just too late. On its front legs only it wasnt fast, so I quickly ran over it with the tractor wheel, to end its suffering...

This past weekend i ran over a garden hose that was snaked thru the edge of the yard to fill a water tank. I knew it was there, I put it there, but I just got too close. Good news: The hose survived the encounter - it didn't even cut! Bad news: I yanked the faucet off the side of the house! Yes, the hose was stronger than the plumbing behind the faucet so I had a horizontal gyser until I could get the water shut off.

Ran over what must have been a "large ladys" bra once left out in a field.The wire from it got caught in my stump jumper! :laughing:

Two years ago, I wrapped 200' of fiber optic cable around my stump jumper. The phone company left it in my pasture. I called them to complain, and the customer service rep put me through to the supervisor. I explained what happened, and he said " I don't see what the problem is. You just destroyed a few hundred dollars worth of our equipment!" I was rather peeved, to say the least. I don't think he'll tell that to anyone else.

A large nest of yellow jackets while slow mowing in a heavy growth. My first indication was sharp pains on my back. They got me over thirty times before I could get the tractor stopped.

A full on set of bolt cutters is handy if you like to mow metal.

I hit a old cast iron culvert while mowing an old garden for my dad he told it was all clear there when i told him about it he said "oh ya i forgot about that ". The same garden i also got wrapped up about 100' of small plastic tubing the next door neighbor used to plant in the garden and he was on a oxygen tank and had just left this long lenght there to get around the garden. What a day that was for a quick little mowing job
