What have you done to your Branson today?

Well I'm looking for the leak in my AC system, put a can of dye in it the other day and still no luck.

Any luck finding the leak Lou?

Not yet, ordered a bigger blacklight the other day. Just haven't taken the time to tear her apart and find it.

I decided to upgrade the sound system to something a lot better than the useless one that came in the tractor. I had to modify the mount to get the receiver installed. Then I had to modify the old faceplate because the one that came with the new radio did not cover the screws.

The speakers were no issues other than the covers do not cover the Blind nuts completely but does not look too bad.

I mounted the microphone for the hands free calling in the center by the front window. Used double sided tape so no drilling needed.

Removing the roof was a lot easier with the way the light bar is mounted now. It can stay bolted up now.

It sounds really good now and the hands free calling works great. Could not use it at all before. The person on the other end could not hear anything but noise. Now they can hear me no problem and can’t hear the tractor running at PTO speed at all.

Nice job on the radio

I punched the stupid radio in our 5520C yesterday and when I got home from mowing, I removed it and bashed it a few times with a hammer.

Needless to say I'm in the market for a new radio, am-fm cd will do it, how did you get the new wiring harness plug to fit?
Did you trace the wires or is there an Adapter?

Needless to say I'm in the market for a new radio, am-fm cd will do it, how did you get the new wiring harness plug to fit?
Did you trace the wires or is there an Adapter?

I compared the 2 wiring diagrams and made the connections using twist lock type wire nuts. I like these better than crimping or soldering.

Just make sure a cd unit will fit. They are deeper than the one that was in my tractor.

I bought a pioneer off Ebay, according to the dimensions it should fit nicely.
I don't know why Branson put such lousy radios in their machines...

Well my 8050 came with a Kenwood multi-band, seems to do good enough for me. Only reason for me to change it would be weather alert and possible blue tooth to pair my phone. It has an aux input so I can connect the phone if desired.

I don't recall what thread I'd mentioned it in, but I'm sure you guys recall me mentioning how close my Branson and TYM dealer were. Anyhow, it would seem the Branson dealer is high and dry, and the TYM dealer has both lines in stock.

This is what I expected, and it's a shame.

My dealer still has the TYM/Bransons and TYMs he also carries the Zetor lineup which in the small ones are TYM.

TYM didn't want two dealers that close? Or the existing TYM dealer has a lot of pull, given their work to get the brand into the local market?
