Today, I brought home two orange friends for my Branson.

Needed something for my DW to load dirt with and something to haul our aging bodies, rocks, firewood and dog around!

It took us 19 years of living on our place to buy a UTV. We get so much more done with it.

We live at the end of a long hollow and probably 20 square miles of area drains through our land on the way to the lake. Because of that, we have hundreds (thousands, maybe) of tons of rocks and topsoil that is deposited on our land every year. Unfortunately, it's all deposited in a very concentrated area. I've spend a hundred hours or more with my Branson scooping and moving dirt and rock one scoop at a time. With a utv, I'll be able to scoop into that and DW can take it anywhere and dump it while I'm scooping up another load. We'll be able to work more than twice as fast with each piece doing its task quickly. We're getting ready to start up a seedling/market garden business and need the BX to be able to work on an acre garden scale easily.

Now, all I need to do is convince her that we need a 55 inch Wicked Root Rake Grapple and we'll be all set!

Mine got all new filters and an oil change today. It’s new to me and NEEDED an oil change. The oil was bad black and didn’t feel reall slick like oil. So much carbon and breakdown that it was really not good anymore. Glad I did it before using it much. I ran about 5-6 ounces of sea foam in the oil for about 10 minutes to help clean it out. Should be good to go now.

Getting more paint done.

I built a sprayer out of an IBC 275 gallon tote. Used the 2.2gpm pump and some of the fittings from my old Tractor Supply 15 gallon pull behind sprayer and fitted a 16ft swath boomless nozzle.
It's setting on a 3pt carryall I got from Tractor Supply a couple of months ago and I'm using a 2" cargo strap to hold it steady until I build a more permanent mounting system.
The pump and nozzle combo puts out ~1.5gpm at 20psi. I think I'm going to find a larger volume pump eventually to increase the psi, right now there's very little going through the bypass valve to keep the solution mixed. I will have to rely on bumps and turns to keep everything mixed up in the tank.

Well, I was able to spray about 2 acres, used a little less than 50 gallons or so. Problem is that the carryall arms aren't long enough to reach clear across the bottom of the tote so it sags a bit at the bottom and drags on the high spots of the pasture. I can correct it somewhat by shortening the top link. Wouldn't really be a problem if my pasture was as flat as a pool table with no dips or bumps.

Nice setup!

I know it's a bit pricey but here's a 3-point pallet fork that would work real well length-wise and weight-wise for what you're doing:

FRONTLINE 3-POINT PALLET FORKS 35 LB. CAPACITY, 42" TINES | Ford Distributing

I have lots of IBCs full of rainwater meaning that they weigh a total of 2420 pounds. This is more than the FEL/front axle should carry so I've been meaning to buy these forks because the 3-point hitch on my 3520H is rated for 3306 pounds.

Do you fill the IBC all the way or only partly?

If you have a full IBC strapped to your carryall does it lift the front end of your tractor off the ground at all?

I put ~250 gallons in it, made it easier to compute the amount of chemical to add. As far as popping up the front end, nope, didn't even bounce it. It was very steady going through the pasture, bumps and dips not withstanding. I wish there was a transmission temp gauge though, I bet that sucker was getting hot going so slow and pulling so much weight.

My FEL wouldn't lift it with 200 gallons in it, my calculation says it should be about 1600lbs of water plus about 130 for the tote. BL25R is rated for 2200lbs at the pivot pins, it loses ~100lbs for every foot or so in front of the pins according to the Branson tech gurus. Meaning it should have lifted it...just barely...or at least picked up the back end of the tractor if it was a balance issue?

Wow! those 3pt forks ARE pricey - $850 !!! I can buy a used 200-300 pull behind sprayer for that kind of money.
