What have you done to your Branson today?

Last weekend I picked up some "free" firewood. Some of the rounds were quite large. Took 2 trips with a full truck bed each trip.

The last load and loading up the tractor for the return home. If you're maybe wondering why the back of the truck isn't squatting, there's 50 psi in the rear bags right now. Lol.

Got the second load off the truck and decided it was time to load the pallet of sandbags for the winter. We had a storm forecast for the next week (it came). That pallet stays in my truck bed until spring.

Then yesterday, I cleared my driveway for the first time this winter. It wasn't bad, only 3-4 inches of snowfall, but we get drifts across the driveway that were about a foot deep. Not really a problem for us here, but when our kids come to visit, they only have cars.

Ground is still soft (not frozen up yet) so I used the bucket with Edge Tamers more than the blower. Pushed it all into a couple big piles and blew it into the yard.

Well the Branson got to lift the man basket today while we tightened up the ends of the cover all. Working from the outside as well as the inside. Had to spin the tires down in the sand pile to get backed in far enough to work on the inside of the door end.
The high temp for the day is 20F occurring as I type this at 4:30 PM we had 0F this morning. Not a real nice day for outside work. Lots of wrinkles in the heavy duty vinyl, it will take some adjusting once the weather warms up a bit.

Still have to figure out what I'm going to do for a door or opener.

Had my first "breakdown" on my tractor. The suction hose for the hydraulic pumps cracked and was leaking and letting ar in, causing cavitation.

This was not fault of the manufacturer but just colateral damage from when I tweaked the suction hardline about 350 hours ago. It was putting side load on the hose which eventually cracked.

Anyway, took the time today to grab a new one directly from the importer just 15 miles or so away. €38 later, here it is. It does not come with the spring that goes inside to prevent the hose from collapsing though. The one from the old hose needs to be reused.

I'm not sure when I'm going to install it since at this rate, I'm pretty sure I'll need a boat to get back on the land again.

I did take advantage of this hose being off to pull the pumps out and inspect the splines since I remember an old thread about a pump with stripped splines. These ones are in great shape, which it should be as it does get some engine oil there.
