My previous postings for the new UHMW MF 2340 Dozer Blade skid shoe project are #671, #672, #675, #678, #681, #701, & #705.
And now I'm beginning the new
UHMW MF 2360 Snowblower skid shoe project.
Upon thinking about this awhile, I'm decided to duplicate the Dozer Blade skid shoe size, 4" x 10", and use the same square slip tubing, and also use the same round spacer washers for height adjustments.
I'm going to use some 1/4" plate that I already have that's a trapezoid shape and bolt these using the existing skid shoe holes/bolts plus 2 more holes/bolts near the top of the new plate.
I'm going to use the 2 UHMW skid shoes from the Dozer Blade this winter and make sure they work ok for me before I fabricate 2 more of these skid shoes next spring for the snowblower.
Here's a couple of pictures of the start of this project showing the backside of the snowblower, and a sketch of the project:

Today's new post for updates:
Ok, it's been pretty cold out in my unheated garage, but I finally managed to tack up/weld 1 of the support assemblies to add my new UHMW skid shoes (will be the same as the Dozer Blade).
And I have noticed my Miller 110v welder does struggle a little bit with welding 1/4" plates when it's this cold, but when the material get some heat into it the welding does improve.
I'm just to lazy to preheat the material or even just bring the material into the house before welding.
Here are a few pictures of my progress:
