Just another angle taken from the corner of the barn.

This is a view from the end of the house showing the entrance to the garage.

Here is a shot I took last week after work. The last course is complete, and all the backfill is in place. You can see the first pile of caps I started moving.

This is the same shot but zoomed in a little. I guess the deer didn’t mind me running Fergy from the pallets to the top of the wall much…

Had to get a shot of Fergy; here she is waiting for me to load her up with caps.

Wicked nice wall there.
The stone backfill makes all the difference in the world in terms of longevity. The wall will be there much longer than it takes your back to recover.
Very nice indeed. Thanks for the pics.
All the best,
Martin

Thanks! I used landscape fabric between the stone and the rest of the backfill as much as possible to try to minimize the siltation process. I hope you are right about the longevity!

I took some pictures last night. You can see the wiring is done and the caps are on now; this took me all day Saturday to finish. The walkway will stay this way until next year; the wall project has drained me financially and we still need to buy and spread mulch yet.

A shot from the corner of the barn. You can see a little waviness in the caps if you look close, but I don’t think it’ll be too noticeable once the mulch and plants are in.

View from below. I used to be able to drive up the driveway and look for deer in the back yard; it’s going to take a while to get used to having the wall there!
