I've had people tell me, "if you till in a straight line, my potato rows will be straight."
In other words, they planted in the furrow that the tiller's gauge feet left.
It is a land pride 58" tiller. It left a distinctive furrow, but a guy could weld or bolt on a proper sized steel plate to the gauge feet to make the furrow wider/deeper.
