What Implement would you use to clean up these ruts?

On my property I've dealt with tractor-swallowing ruts from log skidders: OK, tractor didn't disappear, but I once high-centered (with the B7800- ALWAYS cross at an angle, never perpendicular!). Used a box blade with rippers (same B7800); took lots of time but it was worth it.

I'd like to think that discing would work for me, but I don't have a disc and am not sure it's worth getting one to test out with.

A rototiller might also be something to use. I've got one, so it's an option for me: have not attempted to use it for such as it's a fairly recent acquisition.

Also, a tooth bar on the bucket might be helpful for initial passes (if back-dragging).

Spring tooth?

We had massive ruts from when they dropped of trusses. Tiller make short work of them. I needed a tiller for another project so it made sense to buy one.

If you can find one now used buy it. Sell it in the spring when you are done w your project and they are in demand.

I’d use a box blade with scarifiers to level those ruts and finish grade everything with a landscape rake if it were me.

+1. They key is to wait until the ground dries out enough to support the tractor without sinking in but is still workable enough for the implements. I have done a lot of this type of rutting. You may find a good rake is all you need. You most likely will have to make a final pass with a rake when the ground has thoroughly dried for the final smoothing.

This is my 7' rake that works well for everything I have tried, including light box blade type work. With wheels, it weighs 450 - 500 pounds. Wheels are a great help, even with T-N-T.
