Oh man... I'd be livid.

My brother rides motorbikes and has told me nothing will put you down faster than coming around a corner and having grass clippings in your lane.

people who pass you then slow down
Or they pull in, slam in the brakes and put on their blinker for a turn into their driveway.
As per the comment you quoted; in most states it's illegal to speed up when somebody is trying to pass. It would be a pretty hard law to enforce though.

Small pneumatic tires!

I must have 50 of 'em on mowers, wheelbarrow, snow thrower, hand truck, gauge wheels, etc. It seems every time I go to use an implement, it has a flat.

I gave up patching tubes and simply replace them with solid or foam filled tires. I've replaced almost half so far, but still have a ways to go. Trouble is, it's getting expensive. I went to wheel the trash can to the curb this morning and BOTH were flat! $70 at home depot to replace them with foam filled tires.

I've been riding since the early 80s, and that hasn't been a concern for me. If someone is coming around a blind corner that fast, it would probably be a problem if there was a cow or a person in the road. There are no guarantees. Perhaps it's time to slow down?

I've seen more issues with gravel washing out of a driveway and onto the road. Unlike grass, gravel doesn't get blown off the road after a couple of cars go by.

That said, I bought an attachment that allows me to temporarily block grass from coming out of the shute. A guy stopped when I was mowing, and he politely expressed that same concern. It obviously bothers some people, and I don't want to be a bother.

Any one of those fancy nozzles deserves the same rant. All that they do is jack the price of the can up, while shortening the life of it.
The nozzle in the video is actually one of the better types yet she is right; they work better with a handle on the side of the can.

I had to laugh (even though the situation is really a crying shame) when I bought a new 5 gallon gas can the other day at TSC. I picked up the gas can with the non-vented pain-in-the-neck/spill proof spout with my left hand and simultaneously picked the "old style" replacement spout and vent kit off the rack right next to it with my right hand. No looking around or thinking about it, just an automatic, fluid movement.

Come to think of it, maybe this is the way we should be handling a lot of this type of current-day idiocy. Automatic invalidation/and immediate defeat of the BS.

Another example of the EPA run-a-muck. All my cans are No-Spill.

Then I drill a 1/2" hole and install a vent (Amazon) in the can.

The combo work pretty well.

Other than two old Eagle cans, all of my gas and diesel cans are now that No-Spil brand. They seem to be the only decent one on the market today. Second handle on the back, a spout that actually works, and much thicker plastic than any other brand I can find locally. They also sell the replacement spouts separately.

But I like your vent trick. The vent on the No-Spil brand is better than the rest, but still sometimes gets stuck in suction if you invert the can past 90 degrees. The second vent would totally resolve that.
