What is this part?

Do you mean the nut on the outside of the differential or is there a nut inside also? The nut on the outside still has the cotter pin in it and appears to still be tight.

He is talking about the nut on the inside of the housing. Nut on the outside is just there to hold 3pt arm.

I was afraid that was the case. Looks like I need to spend a day working on it, don’t want it to wear and cause any serious issues.

Since I said 'go in thru the pto hole'.. you can assume that means 'inside'.

I was really hoping I read that wrong. Need to get out the manual and read up on pulling the pto shaft.

drain oil and 4 bolts.. not much too it.

I degreased and pressure washed it today so when I have a day I’m going to get it knocked out.
