my favorite right now is a cane corso also called an itailian mastiff
we got him as a adoption from a friend of a friend who could not
take care of him in a apartment, chewed up ,torn up ,played with
every thing and one , scared the **** out of every one at work .
bummed out the guy because he had give the dog away.His lost
my gain, great dog but messy after eating & drinking

The main reason is because those images that are attachments are not located on a web server, but rather, on the member's hard drive.
If you have a photo on your own web space, as you do -- Chinook -- it's best to LINK to it using the URL tag, so that others can, if they wish, view it (unless it's a very small graphic). If you post it inline with the IMAGE tag, then you force everyone to wait for the image to download. We still have many dialup users because a great deal of the members here live in rural areas that do not have the luxury of cable and/or DSL.

Ditto what Gatorboy said....plus when the pictures are oversized (and yours IS a great picture) it throws the page formatting off making it necessary to scroll the page left to right to see the entire screen (on my monitor).

We have a rescue golden now that we really love. Great disposition, loving, and still playful at 9 yrs. However, I have to say my favorite is still our cocker we lost last Sept after 16+ yrs. A great dog, very friendly, loving, and always knew when to be at the back door to meet me when I came in. She would usually go to the front window and sit at the time she somehow knew I normally arrived and then race to the back door to greet me when I came in.
