Gotta love Churchill

And, if I have posted any of the above quotes in this thread before, I apologize. (it has been open for several years now)

"Trade Beagles!"

When my daughters want something, they know dad wants to "trade beagles"
They know they can not come to me constantly and ask for my beagles,, they have to bring a beagle to trade,,,

I can still do things for them, or give them things,, but, they KNOW they are not trading beagles,, so they think about it,,,
somehow I have to teach them the joy of giving,,
This example is stuck in their head,, and they try to pay me back somehow,,
If I go over and mow their grass,, they know to bring me out a Diet Coke,, that is their "beagle", and I am happy with that,,,

The best way to teach your kids about taxes is by eating 30 percent of their ice cream. Bill Murray

I miss Thatcher.

And apparently Churchill was not a nice guy and created all kinds of trouble for future generations. Here, I thought he was a nice guy because he had a cat!

As far as the ice cream goes. I would say a more accurate depiction would be to get them to pay for it, you eat 2/3rds of it, give 1/3 to someone they have never met and maybe offer them the crumbs and drippings, if only to clean up.
